The paper descsribes the type of the materials and surfaces to be machined and the composition of the magnetorheological fluids used in this area. The most interesting applications were described in more detail, paying particular attention to the schematic diagram of the test stands, obtained results of experimental tests and the results of roughness measurements of the surfaces exposed to magnetically controlled fluids.
